Maruti Suzuki sales slightly up in July

Maruti Suzuki India has reported that its sales in July 2008 increased 1.1% to 58,543 vehicles, compared to 57,909 vehicles in July 2007.

The company's total passenger car sales decreased 0.6% to 52,010 vehicles, compared to 52,315 vehicles in July 2007. Domestic sales increased 0.1% to 52,911 vehicles, compared to 52,839 vehicles in July 2007.
The company's exports increased 11.1% to 5,632 units in July 2008, compared to 5,070 units in July 2007. Maruti's volume in the domestic A3 segment increased 36.8% to 6,009 units, compared to 4,394 units in July 2007.
